Estimados Lectores,
Continuando con nuestro compromiso de mantener una publicación cuatrimestral, les presentamos el número 2,
correspondiente al mes de Agosto del volumen 35. Está compuesto de interesantes contribuciones de múltiples grupos
nacionales y extranjeros, que reflejan el desarrollo de investigaciones en: el análisis de registros electroencefalográficos, la
ingeniería de rehabilitación, la biofísica y la neuropsicología
Hemos continuado con la impartición de Talleres, en los que han participado alumnos e investigadores de varias
instituciones. Esto nos ha permitido mantener una comunicación directa con los potenciales autores y un flujo de
contribuciones muy saludable para la RMIB. Quiero hacer público mi agradecimiento a la Dra. Josefina Gutiérrez y a los
doctores Fernando Arámbula, Emilio Sacristán, Boris Escalante y Lorenzo Leija, todos ellos colegas del Comité Editorial,
quienes han apoyado muy activamente estas iniciativas.
Uno de los objetivos del Comité Editorial durante este año es lograr el ingreso de la RMIB al SCI Thompson Reuters.
Para ello, hemos participado en las iniciativas que el CONACyT ha brindado a las revistas mexicanas
y hemos intensificado nuestra difusión por varios medios. Consideramos que éstas y otras acciones nos
permitirán incrementar la presencia internacional de la RMIB en el corto plazo. Los invitamos a participar
activamente en estas iniciativas para continuar el fortalecimiento de nuestra Revista Mexicana de Ingeniería
Biomédica.

Dear Readers,
In a continuous effort to maintain a quarterly periodicity, we present hereby the number 2, corresponding to August
2014, of volume 35. It is composed of interesting contributions coming from several national and international groups
that reflect the development of researches on topics related to electroencephalographic analysis, rehabilitation
engineering, biophysics and neuropsychology.
We have continued to offer workshops on how to write scientific papers, with the active participation of students and
researchers of several institutions. This has allowed us to maintain straightforward communication with potential authors
and to ensure a very healthy flow of contributions for the RMIB. I would like to gratefully recognize the collaboration of
Drs. Josefina Gutierrez, Fernando Arámbula, Emilio Sacristán, Boris Escalante and Lorenzo Leija, who have supported
these initiatives.
One of the objectives of the Editorial Board during this year is to accomplish the inclusion of the RMIB to the SCI
Thomson Reuters. To do this, we have been participating of the actions that the CONACyT has been providing to
Mexican scientific journals and we have intensified the RMIB’s publicity through several means. We consider that these
and other activities will allow to increment the international presence of the RMIB in the short run. We invite you to
actively participate on these initiatives to continue the strengthening of our Revista Mexicana de Ingeniería
Biomédica.
