Digital preservation policy

The Revista Mexicana de Ingeniería Biomédica offers to the authors the opportunity to share the final PDF version of their manuscripts on their personal social networks, personal websites, and institutional website. This allows for broader visibility and access to their published work.

The journal uses reliable computer systems for the management and maintenance of its digital documents, implementing the latest version of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) editorial manager. In addition, all published articles have a unique and permanent digital object identifier (DOI) that facilitates their preservation, location, and online retrieval. Authors are also requested to provide their personal persistent identifier ORCID, which allows for better identification and tracking of their academic contributions.

Our journal uses the LOCKSS software and system to create an archive network among collaborating libraries, allowing them to create a permanent journal archive system for preservation and restoration purposes. In addition, the journal itself has digital preservation processes on physical servers of the Sociedad Mexicana de Ingeniería Biomédica and storage on external hard drives and digital data storage.
